ART HOUSE AND HISTORIC CINEMAS

The Ovation2 have been building quite a reputation in challenging rooms, where dialogue clarity is a key requirement. Ovation2 offers the flexibility to handle alternate content such as satellite broadcast opera, Blu-ray, and DVD, with optional DTS and Dolby consumer decoding.

We are even finding many cinemas using their legacy film processors connected to the 8 channel balanced input to maintain their 35 mm and 70 mm film presentations, which sound better than ever before.

A unique way to align crossovers

Individual driver and system measurements are acquired and analyzed, including the impulse response, delays, and gains.

Trinnov’s unique crossover calibration engine computes the ideal filters, finding the best compromise to improve flatness, directivity, and attack in the overlapping frequency region.

The crossovers in the Ovation2 are very advanced compared to anything else in the cinema market.

Better dialogue quality and overall better system impact

We measure the exact distance/arrival time of each element of the speaker to the reference point, to the hundredth of a millisecond.

This means better coverage with the lobe of the speaker, and with minimal frequency dip at the crossover point, less equalization needed.
